Faucet & Fixture Repair in Fort Worth, TX

Need faucet & fixture repair in Fort Worth? Fort Worth Plumbing handles faucet & fixture repair across Fort Worth, TX and the towns around it — diagnosed first, with the part named and the price given before the work starts.

Faucet & Fixture Repair done straight

We work out which part has actually failed before anyone quotes a repair, we say so when the fix is something you can do yourself for nothing, and we leave every fixture we touched running, draining and dry underneath.

  • The price before the wrench — you hear what the repair costs, parts and labor, before any work starts.
  • The free checks come first — a tripped breaker, a reset button, a pilot that has gone out or a jammed disposal, talked through on the phone at no charge.
  • A valve is a valve — a worn part is not a reason to quote you a new water heater, a new toilet or a new sewer line.
  • The evidence is yours — the failed part on your own fixture, and the camera footage on any sewer line recommendation.

Repair or replace is a question about the part

Most dripping faucets have a worn washer, O-ring or cartridge inside, and for most faucets made in the last few decades those parts are still available. Replacing the worn part is usually quicker and cheaper than replacing the faucet, and Fort Worth Plumbing will tell you so. Where a faucet is old enough that its parts are no longer made, or its body is corroded, or you were going to change it anyway, replacement makes sense, and we will say which one we would do and why.

Shower valves, outdoor spigots and the fixtures in between

A shower that drips, will not get hot, or swings between hot and cold usually has a worn cartridge or a failing pressure-balancing part in the valve behind the wall, reached through the handle trim without opening the wall. Outdoor spigots that drip or split in a freeze, kitchen sprayers that leak, and supply lines under sinks that have started to weep are all part of the same job. Supply lines in particular are worth a look under every sink: an old braided or plastic line that fails can flood a cabinet and the floor below it.

Faucet & Fixture Repair questions

Is a dripping faucet worth fixing?

Yes. A steady drip adds up to a surprising amount of water over a year, and a worn part tends to get worse rather than better. Most drip repairs are quick.

Can I buy my own faucet and have you install it?

Ask when you call. Many plumbers will, and the quote should say whether the labor is warrantied if the part fails. Keep the box so the model can be checked before the visit.

Why does my shower go cold when someone flushes?

Older shower valves do not balance pressure, so when a toilet draws cold water, the shower loses cold too, and the reverse. A pressure-balancing valve or cartridge is the fix, and on many showers it does not mean opening the wall.
