Need water heater repair in Fort Worth? Fort Worth Plumbing handles water heater repair across Fort Worth, TX and the towns around it — diagnosed first, with the part named and the price given before the work starts.
Water Heater Repair done straight
We work out which part has actually failed before anyone quotes a repair, we say so when the fix is something you can do yourself for nothing, and we leave every fixture we touched running, draining and dry underneath.
- The price before the wrench — you hear what the repair costs, parts and labor, before any work starts.
- The free checks come first — a tripped breaker, a reset button, a pilot that has gone out or a jammed disposal, talked through on the phone at no charge.
- A valve is a valve — a worn part is not a reason to quote you a new water heater, a new toilet or a new sewer line.
- The evidence is yours — the failed part on your own fixture, and the camera footage on any sewer line recommendation.
Start with the checks that cost nothing
A good share of no-hot-water calls never need a visit. On an electric heater the first check is the breaker, and the second is the red high-limit reset button behind the upper access panel, which trips when the water gets too hot. On a gas heater the first check is whether the pilot is lit. If one of those brings the hot water back, that may be the end of it. If it keeps happening, something is causing it: a failing thermostat or element on an electric unit, a thermocouple or a dirty burner on a gas one. Fort Worth Plumbing talks you through the free checks first, and books a visit only for the faults that need one.
Where the water is coming from decides the repair
A leaking water heater is not automatically a new water heater. Water from the pipe on the side is the temperature and pressure relief valve, either doing its job because pressure or temperature is too high, or failing; both are worth fixing properly rather than capping. Water at the drain valve near the bottom is usually that valve. Water at the fittings on top is a connection. Those are repairs. Water seeping from the tank body itself is different: the steel has corroded through, a tank cannot be patched, and replacement is the honest answer. We tell you which one you have, on the heater, before we price anything.
